Charles J. Castoro, M.D.
A refractive surgeon since 1981, Dr. Castoro is board-certified and specializes in laser vision correction. For patients beyond laser vision range, he also specializes in implantable collamer lenses and refractive lens exchange. Dr. Castoro graduated from the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, The Washington and Jefferson College, and Georgetown Medical School. He received his ophthalmology training at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia where he served as chief resident. He joined Dr. Parris in 1981.
Joe S. Navaleza, M.D.
Specializes in laser vision correction. Dr. Navaleza utilizes two of the most advanced laser systems: the IntraLase FS60 (All laser LASIK) and CustomVue LASIK. A native of Northville, Michigan, Dr. Navaleza received a full scholarship and earned his Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from the University of Michigan in 1997. In 2002, he graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School. In Philadephia PA, he completed both his internal medicine internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center and his ophthalmology training at Wills Eye Hospital. He joined Parris-Castoro Eye & Laser Center in 2006.
Wayne H. Parris, M.D.
Dr. Parris founded the practice in 1975 in Bel Air. He is a board-certified surgeon and specializes in refractive lens exchange and cataract surgery. A native of Baltimore, Dr. Parris graduated from the University of Maryland and the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He received his ophthalmology training at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center.
Committed to providing the best in surgical eye care, Dr. Castoro and Dr. Parris opened the Boulton Street office in 1986 with a "dedicated eye" ophthalmic outpatient surgical center. The center was the first in the state of Maryland to receive accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare, Inc. They were also the first to open an independenent laser vision center in Maryland.
