and to you...World Renowned Ophthalmic Expertise & Technology!
With an elite expansion of our team and tertiary services, we are pleased to introduce
to you the first of numerous ophthalmologists from Wilmer Eye Institute
available to see you now in our Bel Air office located at 620 Boulton Street:
Scot Bower, M.D., Dr. Bower is the Director of Refractive Surgery at
The Wilmer Eye Institute. He is a board certified ophthalmologist and specializes
in refractive surgery, cornea and external diseases of the eye, and anterior segment
surgery. He is also one of the most experienced ICL (implantable collamer lenses
for high myopia) surgeons in the country.
Dr. Bower is a retired Army Colonel, Medical Corps. Between 2001 and 2010, he was
the Director of Refractive Surgery at The Walter Reed Army Medical Center and served
as the Army's Refractive Surgery Subject Matter Expert, advising the Army Surgeon
General on laser refractive surgery and managing the Army's Warfighter Refractive Eye
Surgery Program.

Albert Jun, M.D., Dr. Albert Jun is Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the
Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Jun specializes in
corneal disorders including Fuchs dystrophy and keratoconus, refractive surgery,
cataracts, and external eye diseases.
Dr. Jun attended college at Harvard University and received his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from
Emory University. He completed ophthalmology residency at the Wilmer Eye Institute and fellowship in cornea, external diseases, and corneal gene therapy at the internationally renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, England. After fellowship, Dr. Jun returned to Wilmer as the recipient of the prestigious Maumenee Clinician Scientist Award and served as Assistant Chief of Service (Chief Resident) and Associate Director of Ocular Trauma.
